Please join your CAPSITE, WTS-DC, and COMTO DC colleagues on a bike tour highlighting the recently completed bicycle infrastructure projects around Arlington County. Representatives from Arlington County’s Department of Environmental Services (DES) Transportation Division will lead the bike tour to give their perspective on the project development and implementation process. PDH credits may be provided for all participants.

The anticipated length of the route will be about 11 miles, and the pace will be suitable for beginner-level cyclists. This will be a “no-drop” ride so you do not need to worry about not keeping up or being left behind! We will be joined by our Arlington County representative, Elwyn Gonzalez, to give his perspective on the project development and implementation process during the bike tour.  Elwyn is an Associate Planner at Arlington County Department of Environmental Services (DES) Division of Transportation, Transportation Planning & Capital Projects.

All registered attendees will be required to bring their own bike and sign a liability waiver the morning of the event before the ride begins. Please arrive at Crystal City Metro Station Plaza at 9:15 AM. A CAPSITE member on the planning committee will meet you. Helmet use will be mandatory for this ride. Please remember to bring sun protection, water, and snacks. Some additional water will be provided, and we will have an opportunity to stop to purchase food and beverages. To make the ride fun, manageable, and SAFE, this event will be capped at 25 participants including your Arlington County staff ride leader. The rain date for the event is scheduled for October 12th.
