TCRP Ambassador Program
TCRP Ambassadors are the bridge between cutting-edge transit research and the communities and professionals who need it most.
TCRP Ambassadors bring research to life. They attend industry events and visit transportation providers to put TCRP research directly into the hands of the professionals who need it — managers, field personnel, and agency leaders alike. They also help organizations understand how to engage with TCRP's research process, opening doors for deeper industry involvement.

Join the Next Cohort
Applications for the next TCRP Ambassador cohort are now open. If you're ready to take your expertise beyond your agency and shape how research moves through the industry — we want to hear from you! Nominees must currently work for U.S. transit agencies; government transit agencies at the state, regional, or local level; transit educational institutions; transit industry organizations; or other agencies playing a major role in planning or financing public transit. Ambassadors are selected for their field experience and ability to engage, motivate, and inform others. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.

TCRP History
Born from a 1998 partnership between APTA, COMTO, FTA, and TCRP, the Ambassador Program has spent more than 25 years putting research into the hands of transit professionals across the country. Ambassadors represent a wide range of professions and communities, serve two-year terms, and have their travel fully reimbursed.
